Hi my name is Courtney and I am a SAHM to our son Hunter who is 2 1/2. we just moved into the Westside area in June and do not know anybody. My husband works
out of town so it gets very lonely. I am looking to meet other moms around the area for playdates or just chat.

Welcome!! My husband and I moved to West Kelowna in August with our 6 month old daughter, Caitlin. We don't know anyone here, either, so I hear ya about it getting a bit lonely! I know Caitlin is a little younger than Hunter, but if you are interested we'd love to meet for a playdate one day :) Steph |

I'm in rutland but i have two boys they will be 3 and 1 in october. there is a great playgroup downtown kelowna at the martin ave community center. there are lots of great moms here! |

Welcome! I am Jodi, my son Lawson will be 2 on October 17th. I am the coordinator of the playgroup that Aliy mentioned. It is held Tuesdays and Thursdays, from
9:30 - 11:30 am. The Martin Avenue Community Centre is at 1434 Graham Street, downtown Kelowna. Beginning in October (Oct. 7th), we will run on Wednesdays, as
well.

Hello Courtney,
welcome to KM and the area. I'm on the Westside, too and have a ds 3 1/2 and dd 1yr old. There is actually lots to do on the Westside now, from Strong Starts which is a free preschool program that runs every day, different playgroups at the Boys and Girls Club, classes at Johnson Bentley, to several playgroups at different churches (not church related though). My ds goes to preschool Tue/Th and has a class but any other day, I'd be happy to meet up at a playgroup or playground. Hope you enjoy your new home!!! |

Thank you for turning me onto this site. It has been great. yomama, Thanks you for the information. What age group is Strong Starts? Hunter is 2 he will be 3 January 12. Sorry, it's been a while since I checke this thread:
Strong Starts is a preschool programm and focusses on ages 3 to 5 but younger ones are welcome, too, especially considering your ds is so close agewise anyways. It's a great program and runs daily (different times though). Let me know if you ever want to go, I'd be into it. The BG Club also has Kindergym on Mondays at 11am and a playgroup Fridays 10.30am, both are great. |

i am also on the westside. i'm a SAHM to my 3 boys, 4.5 & almost 2 year old twins. my hubby works out of town sometimes too, so i totally understand how that feels! if you want to get together for a playdate send me a pm. :) |
